St. Baldrick's : Shaving the Way to Conquer Kids' Cancer

St. Baldrick's is a foundation that raises awareness and funds to cure kids' cancer by supporting cancer research and fellowships. I was asked to photograph the event here in Saint Louis. The event was held at Helen Fitzgerald's and hosted by Kevin Berghoff from Y98. Many of the participates have family and friends who have struggled with cancer and some have lost their battle to cancer. There were lots of smiles, laughter and tears. By the end of the night St. Baldrick's raised $163, 057.00!!!

Thank you to all the volunteers which made St. Baldrick's such a success! Here is a slideshow from the night!

Hi Kelly! It is so cool to hear that you were selected to capture the event. I listen to Y98 every morning and have been really touched by this foundation. You really did a great job!

These are very touching photos of such a critical foundation. Great job. Your work is inspiring. More photographers need to do these sort of things to bring such a personal awareness.
